Leicester City chiefs are remaining calm amid Chelsea’s pursuit of left-back Ben Chilwell and are refusing to slap a pricetag on the England international’s head. Chelsea are wrapping up the £53million transfer of Red Bull Leipzig striker Timo Werner and will then turn their full attention to signing Chilwell. Blues boss Frank Lampard is desperate for an upgrate in the left-back role, with Marcos Alonso set to be allowed to move on, and he has made Chilwell his priority target. Chilwell, who has four years remaining on his contract, is believed to have told Brendan Rodgers he is open to a move to Stamford Bridge. unwilling to sell him on the cheap, according to The Telegraph. They are unwilling to set a price at which they’d sell the 23-year-old defender and it’s thought it would take a figure close to the £85m that Manchester United coughed up to sign Harry Maguire to convince them to part ways.
