Undoubtedly one of the greatest strikers of all time , Romario scored a staggering 680 goals in his club career and single-handedly led Brazil to a World Cup triumph in 1994.
After his glittering career in football and a short stint in management, the Brazil icon decided to go into politics and was elected to the senate with the highest ever vote share for a candidate representing Rio de Janeiro in 2014.
However, he has since unsuccessfully campaigned to be Rio’s governor.
