Frank Lampard makes Chelsea transfer admission amid Jadon Sancho and Philippe Coutinho links
Frank Lampard says he is ‘excited’ by his current Chelsea squad but wants to bring in a ‘few new additions’ this summer. Due to their transfer ban, Chelsea were unable to sign any players last summer and failed to bolster Lampard’s squad in January despite having the restrictions lifted shortly before the window opened. Chelsea will welcome Morocco international Hakim Ziyech to Stamford Bridge this summer after agreeing a £33m deal with Ajax in February, but Lampard has suggested the club’s transfer activity will not stop there despite the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
Speaking to the Chelsea magazine, Lampard said: ‘I’m certainly excited about the squad we’ve got, with the young players and if we can get a few additions for areas I feel we need.
